Roanoke County's Garbage Collection Schedule for Thanksgiving Week will be as follows:
Monday routes will be collected on Monday, November 24, 2014.
Tuesday routes will be collected on Monday, November 24, 2014.Wednesday routes will be collected on Tuesday, November 25, 2014.
Thursday routes will be collected on Wednesday, November 26, 2014.
All offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday (November 27 and 28, 2014) for the holiday.
Recreation Centers
Green Ridge Recreation Center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27. Green Ridge will have a delayed opening on Friday, December 28, operating from 8:00am to 10:00pm that day. All other recreation facilities and administrative offices will close at 5:00pm on Wednesday, November 26 and remain closed on Thursday and Friday. These include Brambleton Center, Craig Avenue Recreation Center and the Public Service Center on Kessler Mill Road. All Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism facilities will resume regular operating hours on Saturday, November 29.
Libraries
The Roanoke County Public Library will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26 and will be closed on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. Libraries will re-open at our normal time on Saturday morning.
