Winter is coming, and while the Roanoke Valley may or may not see significant snowfall this weekend, here are a few numbers and websites you should have on hand this season.

Questions about road conditions should be addressed to VDOT at 1 (800) 367-7623. Residents can also submit an online work order for snow removal directly to VDOT at

VDOT is responsible for removing snow from Roanoke County's streets and roads. Citizens with concerns are asked to call VDOT at 1 (800)-FOR-ROAD, (800-367-7623), for the latest status on snow removal and road maintenance.
