[ARCHIVED] Roanoke County Police Searching for Missing Man

Alan Taylor

At approximately 10:56 PM on Sunday, December 7, the Roanoke County Police were notified of a missing person. The parents of 29-year-old Alan Taylor reported that they last saw him leave the house on foot at approximately 3:30 PM Sunday. He was last seen by an off-duty officer at approximately 5:00 PM on Williamson Rd, before it was known that Taylor was considered missing.

Having not yet returned home last night, Mr. Taylor's parents contacted our department. Officers responded and conducted an extensive search of the area but were unable to locate Mr. Taylor. Jails and hospitals have also been checked.

Mr. Taylor is described as a white male, 6'3", 130 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing grey pants, a blue plaid shirt, and a brown sport coat. He is unable to speak due to a previous injury. He takes medication, but it is believed that he does not have his medication with him. He also does not have his wallet which contains his identification.

Anyone with information, or anyone who may come into contact with Mr. Taylor is asked to call the Roanoke County Police Department at 540-562-3265.
