SALEM – As part of the Interstate 581 Elm Avenue and Valley View interchange projects in Roanoke, several lane closures are planned for next week.
Elm Avenue
From Monday, February 9 to Friday, February 13, the right lane of eastbound Elm Avenue from the northbound off ramp to Elm Avenue southeast will be closed for a drainage installation. The left lane will remain open to traffic.
Valley View Interchange
Beginning on Monday night, February 9, through Wednesday night, February 11, a right lane closure will be in place on Interstate 581 northbound from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. A right shoulder closure will be in place on I-581 northbound during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This work is weather and work schedule permitting. Drivers are encouraged to watch for signs and message boards and to use caution as they travel through the work zones. Motorists should expect delays.
