(ROANOKE COUNTY. VA) February 16, 2015 - Due to winter weather, all Roanoke County recreation facilities will close at 5:00 p.m. today. All afternoon and evening classes starting after 12:00 p.m. are canceled, as well as all team sports activities. This includes the early closure of Green Ridge Recreation Center and Brambleton Center. An announcement will be made this evening about any modifications to the schedule for Tuesday.
All Roanoke County Public Libraries will close at 5:00 p.m. today.
All scheduled garbage collection (trash/bulk/brush) has been suspended for Monday, due to poor road conditions. Road conditions will be monitored daily and garbage will be collected as soon as road conditions permit.
The Roanoke County Administration Center will remain open until 5:00. If citizens need to conduct business with an office at the Center, please call ahead.
