[ARCHIVED] Fatal Accident on Bent Mountain Road Causes Delays

Roanoke County (Wednesday, March 25, 2015) — At approximately 2:00 Wednesday, a single vehicle traveling south in the 8100 block of Bent Mountain Road ran off the road.

An adult male, the driver of the vehicle, was confirmed deceased at the scene. The passenger, an adult female, was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The southbound lane is closed at this time and the northbound lane is open. Traffic is being directed around the accident scene.

Police are still investigating.
