[ARCHIVED] Armed Robbery at Medicap Pharmacy

On Monday 7/27/2015 at approximately 2:36pm, officers of the Roanoke County Police Department responded to an armed robbery at Medicap Pharmacy, 4375 Brambleton Ave. It was reported that a male subject entered the store and had demanded medication at gun point. The identity of the suspect and a suspect vehicle description were provided by pharmacy staff who recognized the suspect as being a previous customer. At approximately 3:08pm, an officer spotted the suspect vehicle in the area of Colonial Ave and Electric Rd. The suspect, identified as James Ralph FORINGER, 67, of Roanoke County, was taken into custody without incident. Medication believed to have been taken from Medicap Pharmacy was located inside the vehicle, and a semi-automatic pistol was located on FORINGER’s person. FORINGER was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and Brandishing a Firearm. For further information, contact Ofc. C. Beheler at
