On July 8, 2015, a victim reported fraudulent charges on their credit card to the police department. In the course of conducting an investigation into this case, several more victims in the Roanoke Valley were identified. As the investigation progressed, two suspects were developed and probable cause was established to conduct a search warrant at the suspects’ residence. Upon serving the search warrant this morning, several credit card manufacturing devices were seized along with fraudulently obtained prepaid credit cards with a value of over $9,000. Shenndalie Joseph, a 26yoa female from Roanoke City, was charged with 3 Felony counts of Identity Theft and Eddie Hyacinthe, a 35yoa male from Roanoke City, was charged with 3 Felony counts of Identity Theft as well. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges will be forthcoming. The Roanoke County Police would like to thank the Roanoke City Police for their assistance in this investigation.
