[ARCHIVED] Residential Burglaries Cleared By Arrest

During the late night hours of 8/30/2015 and early morning of 8/31/2015, three homes in the Penn Forest Blvd and Pamlico Drive area were broken into while the residents slept. During this same time frame, unlocked vehicles were also entered. Items of value were stolen which included wallets, purses and loose cash.

Following up on information developed by first responding officers, the investigator was able to determine that Michael Anthony Moore, 25 years of age currently living in Roanoke, VA was responsible. Mr. Moore was taken into custody on the evening of 9/01/2015. He is currently charged with one count of Breaking and Entering, two counts of Grand larceny, two counts of Petit larceny and one count of interfering with property rights of another.

Other charges will be presented to the Commonwealth's Attorney Office for Grand Jury indictments. Mr. Moore is currently in custody pending his arraignment. If anyone has additional information please contact the Criminal Investigations Division at (540) 777-8641.
