[ARCHIVED] MVP Files Formal Application with FERC

MVP Pipeline Advisory Committee

(ROANOKE COUNTY, Va.) October 23, 2015 - Mountain Valley Pipeline has just completed its formal filing with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, including a map of the proposed route. The FERC application is based on input, feedback and conversations with county officials and a variety of other sources over the past year.

The submitted application plan uses the Alternative Route 135, which places the pipeline farther away from the Roanoke County's Spring Hollow Reservoir and Camp Roanoke and minimizes the impact on Poor Mountain.

In an email to Roanoke County officials, MVP Manager of Government Affairs Maurice Royster states that "no compressor stations to be placed in Roanoke County or any other Virginia location."

The next scheduled meeting of the Roanoke County Pipeline Advisory Committee at is set for Monday, November 9, beginning at 12 noon. The meeting will be held at South County Library, 6303 Merriman Road SW, Roanoke, Virginia 24018.
