[ARCHIVED] Challenger Avenue Crash Injures Two

On Thursday evening at approximately 10:20 p.m., officers responded to the area of 4524 Challenger Avenue in reference to a multiple vehicle traffic crash. Officers investigated a crash that involved three vehicles. Officers found that Carrie Bishop attempted to turn left from eastbound Challenger Avenue into 4524 Challenger Avenue . Ms. Bishop was struck by a westbound vehicle. Ms. Bishop's vehicle was then struck by another westbound vehicle.

Ms. Bishop was charged with Failure to Obey a Traffic Signal. There were two parties injured. None of the injuries appeared to be life threatening at the time. The victims were transported by Fire and Rescue personnel to a local hospital. Alcohol and drugs were not a factor of this crash. One westbound lane of Challenger Avenue was closed as a result of the crash and clean up.

All lanes were reopened overnight.
