[ARCHIVED] Sign up for Community Strategic Plan Focus Groups by Jan. 29

Focus Groups

Roanoke County needs your help to create its first-ever Community Strategic Plan that will guide the county for the coming years. The planning process began last fall with a telephone survey and continues this spring with community focus groups.

We are seeking a diverse group of citizens to participate in several focus groups dedicated to broad topics concerning the county's future. The Board of Supervisors will decide the focus group topics at an upcoming retreat.

  • Each focus group is expected to meet on four separate evenings, beginning the week of February 29th through the end of April. Although not required, we request participants attend all four meetings if possible.
  • When finalized, dates and locations for all focus group meetings will be featured on our website.
  • Please remember that all focus group meetings will be open to the public.

Why Sign Up?

Signing up is not required to attend. However, signing up will enable staff to send you information and updates prior to each of the focus group meetings. The signup period will end this Friday, January 29th.

We encourage everyone to reach out to friends and neighbors who may also be interested in playing a part in shaping Roanoke County's future by participating in the Community Strategic Plan process.

For more information, or to sign up, please see our Community Strategic Plan web page.
