[ARCHIVED] Garbage Collection Update - February 17, 2016 - 5:00 PM

Roanoke County Solid Waste crews collected the majority of the remainder of Monday routes on Wednesday, February 17. There are still some areas for Monday routes that we could not collect due to road conditions. Collection was dependent upon the individual road conditions and/or the presence of downed trees and power lines. If we could not safely collect your Monday route street today due to road conditions, we will continue checking back through the week until road conditions allow for service.

We also collected as many Tuesday routes as we could. We will be back on those routes on Thursday, February 18 to finish those streets that are not affected by road conditions. If we could not safely collect your Tuesday route street today due to road conditions, we will continue checking back throughout the week until road conditions allow for service.

If Wednesday route residents can safely place their containers to the street, please do so and we will service those containers as soon as safely possible.

Please continue to check the website as we will provide updates as they become available.
