As part of its effort to develop a Community Strategic Plan, Roanoke County is hosting a series of Focus Groups across the county, beginning with sessions starting on Monday, February 29.
At a January 30, 2016, retreat the Board of Supervisors determined the broad topics of each focus group. The selected topics include Community Health and Well-Being, Economic Development, Education, Public Safety, Quality of Life and Transportation. Locations and times of the Focus Group meetings can be found on our Community Strategic Plan Focus Group web page.
All Focus Group meetings will be open to the public and interested citizens are encouraged to attend and participate in the meetings. Residents who signed up in advance for focus group meetings will be assigned to Focus Groups that best match their interests as space allows.
While attending every meeting is not mandatory, participants are encouraged to attend each of the four focus group meetings to ensure consistent citizen-based input throughout the process.
