[ARCHIVED] Crash involving Pedestrian or Cyclist

On Thursday, November 17, 2016 at approximately 1:23am, a Roanoke County officer noticed a bicycle lying off the side of the road in an unlit area of the 6900 block of Williamson Rd. in Roanoke County. Upon stopping to investigate, a body was located a short distance from the bicycle. Evidence at the scene suggests that the bicycle was travelling northbound on Williamson Rd. when it was struck from behind by a vehicle. Based on the initial investigation, it is believed the crash occured between 2140 and 2200 on 11/16/16. The suspect vehicle is believed to be black in color and have front end damage. This crash is currently still under investigation by the Roanoke County Police Department. Anyone with information about this incident, please call Officer Banks at (540)777-5225.
