[ARCHIVED] Roanoke County Police Investigate Traffic Crash On Old Mill Rd

On Wednesday, 8/17/2011 at about 3:33am, Police and Fire & Rescue personnel responded to a single vehicle crash in the 6900 block of Old Mill Road. It was determined that a dump truck owned by JPAC of Christiansburg, VA, driven by Lucas Quesenberry of Blacksburg, VA, went off the right side of the roadway and rolled onto its side into a creek. Mr Quesenberry was not injured in the crash. The load of dirt and rock spilled from the truck into the creek along with about 10 gallons of diesel fuel and motor oil. The spill was contained to the immediate area and HAZMAT clean-up crews are on scene. The roadway was closed for about three hours while the truck was removed. One lane is opened as of 6:40am and VDOT is on scene. Motorists should expect delays in the area throughout the morning.
