The Western Virginia Regional Industrial Facility Authority (WVRIFA), comprised of local government leaders from Roanoke County, Roanoke City and the City of Salem, has acquired 106 acres on Wood Haven Road for economic development purposes. Consulting engineering firm Draper Aden Associates has been hired to assist in the master planning of the site. The process will include several community meetings to share and collect information. The public is invited to attend the first community meeting on Tuesday, January 31 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Quality Inn Roanoke Airport, 6626 Thirlane Road. A brief presentation on the project will be followed by an opportunity for community input on the development of this property.
