[ARCHIVED] Roanoke County Police Invesigating Accidental Shooting

On Sunday July 22, 2018 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Roanoke County Police responded to a residence in the 5700 block of Oakland Blvd for a reported medical emergency. Officers were able to determine that a 16-year old male was the victim of an apparent accidental shooting inside the home. The juvenile was transported by Roanoke County Fire & Rescue to Roanoke Memorial Hospital with a potential life threatening injury. Police are still in the process of interviewing witnesses and are not currently looking for potential suspects. There is no danger to the public.
