Roanoke County Police are crediting the public for helping them make an arrest in a theft case. In August, detectives released the photo of a man suspected of using a stolen credit card to make a purchase at a south Roanoke County convenience store. The image of the suspect was captured by a store surveillance camera. After the image was released to the media, Roanoke County Police received several calls from people who identified the suspect as 31-year-old Christopher Shane Rooksberry. Rooksberry was arrested on September 9, 2011. He’s been charged with Credit Card Theft (felony), Petit Larceny (misdemeanor), Tampering with a Vehicle (misdemeanor), Credit Card Fraud (misdemeanor), and Attempt to Commit Credit Card Fraud (misdemeanor).
