[ARCHIVED] CANCELED: Traffic Alert for Saturday’s Parade on Brambleton Avenue

(Roanoke County, VA - November 30, 2018 UPDATE ) — The third annual Roanoke County Christmas Parade hosted by the Brambleton Area Business Association has been canceled.

There will be no parade-related detours on Brambleton Ave. on Saturday, December 1.

(Roanoke County, VA - November 29, 2018) — The third annual Roanoke County Christmas Parade hosted by the Brambleton Area Business Association will take place this Saturday, December 1. The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. and run from the intersection of Brambleton Avenue at Harris Street, south to the intersection of Garst Mill Road.

Beginning at 8:30 a.m., Brambleton Avenue will be closed to all vehicle traffic between Harris Street and Garst Mill Road. Spectators will be encouraged to park at nearby Cave Spring Corners or if they arrive early enough, they can park in the lots along the parade route. Roanoke County Police will be stationed at intersections to help detour traffic around the parade route.

Travelers in the area should expect congestion and seek alternate routes down Colonial Avenue or Electric Road until the parade ends.
