Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who broke into a home in a residential area just off of Challenger Avenue in the Bonsack area sometime after 3:30 yesterday afternoon (October 4) and made off with nearly $300.00 in coins. The suspect, who appears to be a white male in his 20's or early 30's with a slim build, entered the home through a cracked window and took a large jar filled with change. The man is suspected of taking the change to the nearby Kroger where he used a machine inside the store to count the coins and then exchanged them for $270.00 in cash. The surveillance photo shows the suspect inside the Kroger store. If you recognize the suspect, please contact Officer A. Morris at 540-562-3265.
