As part of the ongoing work to replace the bridge on Route 116 (Jae Valley Road) over Back Creek in Roanoke County, paving on Route 116 (Jae Valley Road) is set to begin October 24 beginning at 9 a.m. Weather permitting, lane closures will be in place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, through November 1. Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone. Once paving is completed, traffic will be switched onto the new bridge and demolition of the old bridge will begin. Drivers should expect delays in the area and continue to use caution in the work zone. The project is expected to be completed in November of this year.
