[ARCHIVED] Helpful Hints Regarding Bagged Leaf Collection

As the leaves start to turn their beautiful autumn colors, bagged leaf collection is just around the corner! Residents are asked to please keep the following in mind to ensure that their bagged leaves are disposed of in a timely and efficient manner. Bagged leaves will be collected during regular bi-weekly bulk/brush collection. Plastic or paper bags are acceptable. Only leaves that are bagged will be collected - we do not have the equipment to collect loose leaves. We cannot collect leaves that are placed in tarps and set to the road - the leaves have to be contained in bags and set to the street. We cannot go up into yards or driveways to collect the bags. Also, please do not rake loose leaves into the drainage/stormwater runoff ditches as the leaves will clog the ditches and cause flooding issues. Please contact Solid Waste at 387-6225 if you have any questions regarding bagged leaf collection.
