VDOT Salem Residency will be starting the daily closure of Route 618 (Highland Road) on February 19, 2020, weather permitting, to perform ditch work. Message boards will be placed near the closure site reading "Road Closed Daily Starting 2-19-20 7AM to 5PM". Please expect at least three weeks of daily closures with work ending on or around March 6, 2020. Please note that VDOT will make every effort to leave the roadway open on March 3, 2020 for election traffic if the crews are still working at that time. The attached map shows the location of the closure from 2838 Highland Road to Eastland Road.
