On March 8, 2020 at approximately 7:09 pm, the Roanoke County Police Department received a call in reference to an accidental shooting on Richland Hills Drive, Salem, VA.
Upon arrival officers observed a female approximately 19 years old being treated by paramedics. The female sustained a non-life threatening wound to her lower leg.
The investigation is on-going. No names are being released at this time. All parties involved are known to police. All information known at this time is this shooting was accidential. There is no threat to the general public.
