Coronavirus Update

Roanoke County encourages residents to educate themselves and stay up-to-date on the latest news about Coronavirus (COVID-19) at www.roanokecountyva.gov/coronavirus.

Roanoke County’s administration and emergency management staff are working closely with Roanoke County Public Schools, neighboring jurisdictions, the CDC, the Virginia Department of Health, the Virginia Department of Emergency Management, local partners and local health officials to compile the most up-to-date information for the public.

Our Coronavirus web page includes links to websites and documents that contain guidance on how to deal with the virus, including

  • Virginia Department of Health (VDH) with real-time reporting of cases across the state, 
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including resources
  • Documents and checklists to help keep you, your family, or your business safe in the event our community experiences an outbreak of the virus.

Roanoke County will provide local updates at the top of our Coronavirus web page as they become available and through the County’s social media outlets.
