[ARCHIVED] New Traffic Signal Activation Scheduled at Intersection of Route 220 & Old Rocky Mount Road

A new traffic signal on Route 220 at Outback Steakhouse will be Roanoke County will be set to flashing yellow on Monday, October 24 sometime in the late morning. On Monday morning, short-term lane closures will be in place at this intersection while signal crews uncover the new signal heads and set it to flashing yellow.

The new traffic signal will remain in flashing yellow mode for 24 hours before becoming fully operational on Tuesday, October 25.

Signs are in place on Route 220 to alert drivers to the new signal. A message board also will be used to notify drivers of this change in traffic patterns.

Drivers are advised to use caution in the area.
