[ARCHIVED] Residents Asked to Limit Bulk / Brush Items for Curbside Pick-up

With people spending more time at home right now, residential trash tonnage has increased nearly 19% over the same time period last year, stressing our ability to stay on schedule despite our employees working longer hours.

While no additional limits are being set at this time, we are asking Roanoke County’s citizens to help us maintain our daily collection schedule and take some burden off our employees by keeping your spring cleaning pile in your basement or garage for now.

We’re also noting that people are holding garage/yard sales. Please support social distancing requirements and prevent large groups from assembling by not hosting or attending garage/yard sales.

For more information, contact Roanoke County’s Solid Waste Services at 540-387-6225.

Thank you!
