[ARCHIVED] Watch your mailbox for the Coca-Cola and Kroger “Recycle and Win” Promotion!

Recycle and Win, a sustainability initiative designed by Coca-Cola to promote municipal recycling programs, is coming to the Roanoke area beginning October 31, 2011. Coca-Cola and Kroger have joined forces to offer Roanoke County citizens the opportunity to win $50 Kroger Gift Cards in their latest Recycle and Win promotion.

The program kicks off October 31 and runs for six months. All single family households in Roanoke County will receive an educational mailer with images highlighting materials they should recycle.

As part of the campaign Roanoke County residents are encouraged to bring their properly recycled materials to any of the eight Recycling Events, where they can enter for a chance to win a $50 Kroger Gift Card. Five gift cards will be awarded among the entries at each event, for a total of 40 gift cards during the campaign.

The following items can be brought to the Recycling Events: Newspaper, Junk Mail, Magazines, Chipboard (cereal, pasta, cake mix boxes), corrugated cardboard, shredded & computer paper, aluminum cans, tin cans, and plastic containers #1-#7.
