[ARCHIVED] Centennial Celebration of the 19th Amendment

Centennial of the 19th amendment

2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment and August 2020 has been named National Women’s Suffrage month.

Throughout this month Library Director, Shari Henry, is interviewing local women leaders in the community, many of whom will be joining us online, with other leading women in the area, at 6:30pm on Tuesday, August 25 to discuss this historic event on Zoom. Link will be shared as the event gets closer.

Kat Pascal, Entrepreneur and Co-Founder of Farmburguesa
Janet Scheid, Former Vinton Council Member
Lisa Spencer, Executive Director of Local Colors
Joyce Waugh, President & CEO of Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce

Director Shari Henry will also be weighing in on the questions she asks the panelists.
