[ARCHIVED] Carilion Clinic Ironman 70.3 Calls for Volunteers

IRONMAN 70.3 Spotlight

Our region is excited to host the Carilion Clinic Ironman 70.3 Virginia’s Blue Ridge on June 6, 2021. We’re welcoming athletes from around the world to America’s East Coast Mountain Biking Capital for an exciting race with challenging terrain and expansive views.

1500 Volunteers Needed

One of the most rewarding experiences in the sport of triathlon comes from giving back to your community through volunteering. The people you will meet throughout the weekend and race day will touch your heart two-fold. There’s nothing quite like cheering on an exhausted, grateful athlete to inspire and motivate you in more ways than you can imagine. Their race simply would not be possible without the amazing volunteer community.

Volunteer Groups Welcome!

Have a group looking to sign up together? Opportunities are available just for you! Choose from activities such as environmental crew, bike course nutrition aid stations, gear bag drop, packet stuffing, information, or lost and found. The Ironman Foundation also provides grant opportunities to nonprofit or school groups who commit designated levels of volunteers. For more about group opportunities, email the event’s volunteer coordinator at im70.3vbr@ironmanvolunteers.com.
