On October 21st from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., a community meeting about planned Dry Hollow Road Safety Improvements will be held at the Camp Roanoke Dining Hall, 6489 Dry Hollow Road. This meeting will be in an open house format meaning you will be able to come and go anytime between the opening and closing of the meeting.
The goals of the project, where Dry Hollow Road and Dry Hollow Creek pass under the Norfolk Southern railroad bridge, are to:
1. Reinforce the roadway against the creek; and
2. Improve safety by widening the roadway for two-way travel.
Roanoke County staff will have exhibits to show the proposed solutions and will be available to discuss the project currently in design, with Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) assistance. Please feel free to contact Megan Cronise, Roanoke County Transportation Planning Administrator, with any questions.
