Learn what it takes for Roanoke County to put together a balanced budget. The Office of Management and Budget has released a new Current Budget Development page that details this spring's ongoing budget development process.
This page is designed as a one-stop portal for information that is vital as the County develops its Fiscal Year 2012-2013 budget, including:
- Current Challenges facing Roanoke County,
- The latest budget information as presented to the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors,
- Important dates in this year's budget process, including Public Hearings, major votes, and public budget presentations,
As a new initiative this year, the Management and Budget Office has created an online form for citizens to submit their budget ideas directly to County staff for consideration.
Site visitors are also encouraged to watch a short video about Roanoke County's Budget Process featuring Management and Budget Director Brent Robertson and Assistant County Administrator Dan O'Donnell that explains the challenges, opportunities, and next steps in developing the budget.
This page will be frequently updated as new information is available this spring, and visitors are encouraged to bookmark the Current Budget Development page for quick and easy access.
