[ARCHIVED] Roanoke County Has FREE Energy Checkups Available for Small Businesses

As of March 2, 2012, Roanoke County still has 31 FREE energy checkups available for small businesses.

The cost of energy is a major expense for any business, and Roanoke County's FREE energy checkups are designed to help maintain your bottom line despite rising energy costs. Businesses are encouraged to sign up now - this program closes March 31, 2012. After that, the checkups will be awarded to residential applicants.

What businesses are eligible?

- Building must be located in Roanoke County and owner occupied.
- In the case of commercial, client must have proof of ability to perform leasehold improvements and pay own utilities.- Maximum size of structure is limited to 6,000 sq.ft.
- Businesses must have own utility meters, heating and cooling equipment, and direct access to the exterior. Fully detached structures are preferred. - Strip mall businesses will be considered if there is an exterior wall front and rear.
