[ARCHIVED] Route 311 (Catawba Valley Drive) Reopens One Lane

(ROANOKE COUNTY, Virginia - March 21, 2025) UPDATE AT 7:30 PM. As of 7:30 PM, one lane of Route 311 (Catawba Valley Drive) between Hanging Rock and Bradshaw Road has reopened. Traffic is being controlled by VDOT flaggers and motorists are advised to use caution in the area and be alert for fire department and VDOT personnel.

Both lanes were closed earlier today as Roanoke County Fire & Rescue and U.S. Forest crews worked to contain a brush fire close to the road.

(ROANOKE COUNTY, Virginia - March 21, 2025) Catawba Valley Drive (Route 311) is currently closed from Thompson Memorial to Bradshaw Road due to brush fire oeprations. Please avoid the area until further notice. An update will be provided when the road is back open.
