Holiday Schedule Christmas Week

For the week of December 22-26, Roanoke County's administrative offices will be closed beginning Wednesday, December 24, through Friday, December 26. Administrative offices will reopen on Monday, December 29. See details below for schedules of other services and facilities.

Trash Collection for Christmas Holiday Week – Dec. 22-26, 2025

Monday & Tuesday routes collected Monday, December 22.
Wednesday routes collected Tuesday, December 23.
Thursday routes collected Wednesday, December 24.
Please place your containers to the street on the listed day and leave until emptied.

Roanoke County Public Libraries

Libraries will close at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23 and reopen on Saturday, December 27.
Bent Mtn. Library and Mt. Pleasant Library will be open from 1-5pm on Tuesday, December 23 and will reopen on Saturday, December 27.

Parks, Recreation and Tourism

Wednesday, December 24

Green Ridge Recreation Center closes early – 5:30 AM – 1 PM

Other recreation facilities closed

Thursday, December 25 - All facilities closed
Friday, December 26 – PRT Admin Office and Brambleton Center closed
Open Friday, December 26:

Explore Park Visitor Center – 4:00 PM – Close

Illuminights – 5:00 PM – Close

Green Ridge 5:30 AM – 7:00 PM

CORTRAN services are not available Wednesday, December 24, through Friday, December 26.

Roanoke County Clerk of Circuit Court closed Wednesday, December 24 through Friday, December 26. The office will reopen on Monday, December 29.
