[ARCHIVED] Early Morning House Fire Ruled Arson

When firefighters first arrived they found heavy flames coming from a one-story wood framed structure. It took career and volunteer crews from the Clearbrook and Cave Spring stations about 20 minutes to get the flames under control.

The house was not occupied and no injuries were reported. The house is considered a total loss, but damage estimates have not yet been figured.

The arson investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the fire may call the Roanoke County Fire Marshal’s Office at (540)777-8732.
