Police Ask for the Public’s Help Identifying Suspect

• Incident: Destruction of Property & Petit Larceny

• Date of Incident: April 27, 2012 at approx. 1:30 a.m.

• Location of Incident: Express Jet Car Wash

• Investigating Officer: Roanoke County Police Officer A. Birckhead

• Additional Remarks:

Roanoke County police are asking for the public’s help solving a destruction of property and petit larceny case that occurred shortly after midnight on April 27, 2012, at the Express Jet Car Wash located at 4035 Challenger Avenue.

The suspect is being sought for damaging a drink machine at this location and then stealing an undetermined amount of money from it. Early that morning, the male subject can be observed on security footage entering the parking lot on a moped. The male is then seen on videotape walking around the soda machine. He is also observed tinkering with a coin machine.

The suspect is a white male with medium build possibly in his 30’s. He’s either bald or has short blonde hair. He’s wearing a blue jacket that has a red hood and the word Nike written on the back of it, a black hoodie, blue jeans, and brown boots. In the surveillance video, he can be seen holding a cigarette in his right hand.
