Officers to Participate in Torch Run for Virginia Special Olympics

ROANOKE COUNTY, VA (June 4, 2012) – Local law enforcement officers will participate in an annual event tomorrow to benefit the Virginia Special Olympics.
On Tuesday, June 5, the officers will run the Special Olympics Torch through Roanoke County. Those participating in the annual torch run include officers from the Roanoke County Police Department, Roanoke County Sheriff’s Office, Western Virginia Regional Jail, and an officer assigned to the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.
The officers will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the Enterprise Rent-A-Car located at 4385 Electric Road, across from Tanglewood Mall. The torch run will start at 10:30 a
