At about 10:30 crews were able to complete a containment line around the six acres of brush that has been burning since about 1:30 this afternoon. About 20 firefighters have used hand rakes to dig a containment line around the burning brush.
The land around the cove is difficult to access, but eventually, firefighters accessed the area by hiking in from Timberview Drive and Angel Lane, as well as boating to the area from the dam.
Crews will return in the morning to mop-up the burned out area.
There is reportedly no contamination to the Cove water.
