The Roanoke County Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a female suspected of cashing stolen checks at an area business.
Police have determined that the unidentified woman cashed two stolen checks for an electric heater and power tool kit at the Northwest Hardware on Brambleton Avenue in February. The checks she wrote totaled nearly $800. Later in the day, the female attempted to cash a third stolen check at the same business for another tool set but was unsuccessful.
Police have determined that the checks the female is suspected of writing were stolen. The suspect is a white female with brown hair. She’s approximately 5-foot-4 in height and weighs about 140-pounds.
If you have any information on the female’s identity, please contact Roanoke County Police Officer A. Grubb at 540-562-3265.
