  • Citizens involved in a traffic accident investigated by Roanoke County Police may contact the Roanoke County Police Records Division at (540) 777-8605 for a copy of the accident report. There is no charge for citizens. 

    Victims of a crime may also contact the Roanoke County Police Records Division at (540) 777-8605 for a copy of a police report. The report must be picked up in person at the police department, please be prepared to show a photo id (Driver’s License, U.S. Passport). 

    Insurance companies may go online to www.dmvnow.com to obtain a copy of an accident report.

  • Citizens may go to the Roanoke County Sheriff's Office located at 401 East Main St, Salem, VA 24153 to have fingerprinting done. Fingerprinting can be done Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, or Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
