At the top of the meeting, the Board of Supervisors approved a resolution approving a Comprehensive Agreement between the County and G&H Contracting, Inc. regarding construction services for the Bonsack fire station. >> See the Board Report for more information.

The Board of Supervisors heard the first reading of an ordinance approving a permanent easement to the City of Roanoke on property owned by the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors (Roanoke County Tax Map Number 060.11-04-17.00-0000) for the purpose of constructing and maintaining the City of Roanoke’s Glade Creek Stream Restoration Project. The second reading of this action is scheduled for October 24. >> See the Board Report for more information.

The Board approved an ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of a cable television franchise agreement by and between the County of Roanoke and Shenandoah Cable Television LLC. >> See the Board Report for more information.

Consent Agenda

The Board of Supervisors approved the following items in its consent agenda in the form of one resolution:

A resolution expressing the appreciation of the Board of Supervisors of Roanoke County to Billy Fadorick, Application Services Manager, upon his retirement after twenty-six (26) years of service;
A designation of a voting delegate to the Virginia Association of Counties (VACo) Conference to be held November 12-14, 2023;
An ordinance approving a permanent easement to the City of Salem for the erection of a public bus shelter located at 305 East Main Street, Salem, Virginia (the Roanoke County Courthouse property).
